Position: RN – Endoscopy Center $$SN$$
Location: Champaign, Illinois
Shift: Days – 4x9s (Rotating start times between 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM)
Duration: 13 weeks
Hours: 36 hours/week
Job Duties
Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing routine GI procedures, including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy.
Prepare patients for procedures, complete assessments, review health history, start IVs, and provide patient education.
Monitor patients during procedures and administer moderate sedation under physician direction.
Provide Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care.
Assist the CRNA during cases requiring anesthesia involvement.
Implement nursing interventions and continuously evaluate and modify the plan of care.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
Ensure patient and staff safety and report safety hazards or incidents as appropriate.
Delegate appropriate tasks to unlicensed personnel and collaborate with physicians and other clinical staff.
Float between the Champaign Endoscopy Center and Digestive Health Department as required.
