# Job Opportunity – Gastroenterology / Endoscopy Registered Nurse – New YorkStart Date: October 12, 2026Location: Rochester, New YorkCompensation: Details provided to qualified applicantsSchedule: 10-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM), varying days off based on department needs. On-call requirements include weeknights, weekends, and holidays (approximately 4-6 shifts per month).Highlights:- 8-week assignment in a busy procedural-based endoscopy unit with 30 beds- Advanced procedures including EUS, ERCP, Navigational Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Manometry, and Fibroscan- Patient population includes cases involving pancreatic, lung, colon, and gastric cancers, polyps, Barrett's esophagus, and CBD stones/strictures- 1:3 patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams- Float to Pre-Anesthesia/PACU as needed- Epic charting system experience requiredRequirements:- Active New York RN license (must be in hand prior to submittal)- Minimum 1 year of gastroenterology/endoscopy nursing experience- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; CGRN preferred- Epic EMR experience is mandatory- Competency in phlebotomy and IV placement required- Experience with conscious sedation administration and monitoring- Proficiency with endoscopy equipment including ERBE units, Olympus scopes/processors, Super-D, Bravo, VCE, and Manometry systems- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility location- Candidates with 10 or fewer days of requested time off preferredWhy It's a Great Opportunity:This position offers exposure to a comprehensive range of advanced endoscopy and bronchoscopy procedures in a collaborative, well-supported environment.
