Opportunity:

RN - Endoscopy

Job Details:

• Day/Evening shift, 8-hour shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM
• Weeknight call requirement
• May need to stay past end of shift to finish the day's schedule
• Perform Moderate Sedation in procedure, and pre/post all levels of care including PACU/Phase I and Phase II recovery
• Utilize an RN driven assessment approach to sedation with patients managed within targeted sedation range based on Ramsay Sedation Scale score
• Must have recent experience recovering sedated GI and pulmonary procedures such as ERCP, EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy, Endoscopy, and Bronchoscopy (some patients have general anesthesia rather than moderate sedation)
• Provide care for patients during GI and Bronchoscopy procedures including administration of sedation
• Serve as an integral part of a surgical team performing multispecialty procedures
• Assume overall responsibility for management of the operating room to which you are assigned
• High acuity environment - must be willing to do bedside procedures including ICU and ED
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• 2 years of acute care experience in specialty required within the last 3 years
• Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital experience required
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (two attempts allowed; passing score of 80% or higher required)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, WI RN or compact RN license
• CGRN preferred

The endoscopy unit serves adults and geriatrics with a daily census of 20-25 patients across 4 procedure rooms. The facility supports a high-acuity patient population and utilizes a multidisciplinary team approach to deliver specialized GI and pulmonary procedural care.
