Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy / Procedural Sedation – Wisconsin
Start Date: September 28, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Schedule: 8-hour day/evening shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Weeknight call requirement. Flexibility required to stay past shift end to complete daily procedures. Daily census of 20-25 patients across 4 procedure rooms.
Highlights:
- Provide direct patient care during gastrointestinal and bronchoscopy procedures including administration and monitoring of moderate sedation
- Utilize RN-driven assessment approach to sedation management based on Ramsay Sedation Scale scoring
- Perform pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care across all levels including PACU Phase I and Phase II recovery
- Work with advanced GI and pulmonary procedures including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy
- Epic EMR system utilized throughout facility
- Magnet-designated academic medical center ranked as Wisconsin's top hospital
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Wisconsin or multistate compact license (pending Wisconsin license accepted with submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in acute care settings within the last 3 years
- Recent experience recovering sedated patients undergoing GI and pulmonary procedures
- Level 1 Trauma Center or similar academic medical center experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Must successfully pass telemetry examination prior to start date with strict passing criteria including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% overall passing score
- Proficiency in airway management, conscious sedation administration and monitoring, IV initiation and maintenance, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
- Experience with procedural medications including Propofol, Versed, opioid analgesics, and reversal agents
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
