Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy / Procedural Sedation – Wisconsin

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 8-hour day and evening shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Weeknight call requirement. Flexibility required to complete daily schedules as needed.

Highlights
  • Work in a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma Center environment supporting advanced GI and pulmonary procedures
  • Utilize RN-driven assessment approach to moderate sedation management based on Ramsay Sedation Scale
  • Provide comprehensive care across all phases: procedure support, PACU Phase I, and Phase II recovery
  • Daily census of 20-25 patients across 4 procedure rooms with adult and geriatric populations
  • Epic EMR system in use; 20 hours of orientation provided
  • Contract includes two pre-approved time-off periods
Requirements
  • Active RN license (Wisconsin or Compact state license accepted; pending Wisconsin license acceptable with application)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in endoscopy or procedural sedation within the last 3 years
  • Academic Level 1 Trauma Center or similar large hospital experience required
  • Recent experience recovering sedated patients from GI and pulmonary procedures including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy
  • Proficiency in administering and monitoring moderate sedation, including propofol and opioid analgesics
  • Competency in airway management, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV placement and maintenance, and reversal agent administration
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to assignment start (strict passing criteria apply)
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Ability to float as needed and perform bedside procedures in ICU and ED settings
