Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Endoscopy – New York

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Rochester, New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, varying days off based on department needs. On-call requirements include weeknights, weekends, and holidays, approximately 4-6 shifts per month. 8-week assignment.

Highlights:

  • 30-bed endoscopy unit specializing in advanced GI and pulmonary procedures including EUS, ERCP, Navigational Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Manometry, and Fibroscan
  • Procedural-based patient population including pancreatic, lung, colon, and gastric cancers, polyps, Barrett's esophagus, and CBD stones/strictures
  • 3:1 patient ratio with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • Float to Pre-Anesthesia/PACU as needed based on department requirements
  • EPIC charting system experience required; must be comfortable with Olympus scopes/processors, ERBE equipment, and specialized GI technology
  • First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Requirements:

  • Active New York RN license required at time of submission
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required; CGRN preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of endoscopy nursing experience
  • EPIC charting system experience is mandatory
  • Proficiency in IV placement and phlebotomy (mandatory competency requirement)
  • Experience with conscious sedation administration and monitoring, airway management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility location
  • Pre-start modules required (up to 5 billable hours)
