The RN will be an integral part of a surgical team that performs multispecialty procedures. The role involves the overall management of the operating room to which assigned. Candidates must have recent experience recovering patients from sedated GI and pulmonary procedures such as ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, and bronchoscopy, as some patients may require general anesthesia rather than moderate sedation. An RN-driven assessment approach to sedation is utilized, managing patients within targeted sedation range based on the Ramsay Sedation Scale score. Call requirements will necessitate the ability to stay past the end of shift to complete the day's schedule. Travelers will be required to pass a telemetry test before beginning the assignment, including strict passing criteria for adult and pediatric rhythms. The position requires high acuity, and candidates must be willing to perform bedside procedures in various settings. The facility is recognized for excellence in care and is a teaching institution and referral center.
