Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 12 months Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Advanced Endoscopy intraprocedure experience required License: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State Certifications: Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card. ACLS required for positions located in the Pain Management Clinic. Must-Have: Advanced Endoscopy intraprocedure experience Description: Provide nursing care for patients following established standards and practices in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act. Apply professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Possess knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care. Understand organizational policies and procedures to administer patient care. Recognize common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Demonstrate skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care. Identify problems and recommend solutions effectively. Prepare and maintain records and write reports accurately. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Analyze situations and apply critical thinking. Communicate clearly and effectively. React calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Participate in constant interaction with patients, families, physicians, employees, and visitors. Undergo frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, and stooping. Lifting/moving patients frequently; may require pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs. Utilize finger/hand dexterity frequently. Reach with hands and arms consistently. Engage in frequent talking or hearing. Maintain corrected hearing and vision within the normal range. Be prepared for exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue. Be aware of possible exposure to infectious materials, communicable diseases, and other conditions common to a healthcare environment. Work under moderate noise levels in the work area. Handle stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours effectively. Be ready to take call and/or work weekends or holidays based on departmental needs.
