Job Summary:

In this position, the Registered Nurse has primary responsibility and accountability for the nursing care and safety of patients undergoing endoscopic and/or invasive procedures with or without sedation. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and efficiency. The RN serves as a resource to students and new caregivers, participates in quality improvement processes, and ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with the technical aspects of GI equipment.
  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused outcomes.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively.
  • Competence in basic mathematical operations and concepts, including algebra and geometry.
  • Problem-solving skills to address practical issues with limited standardization.
  • Regular attendance during scheduled business hours or shifts.

Required Education:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Nursing Diploma.

Required Certification & Licensure:

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • BLS (AHA).
  • ACLS (AHA).
  • Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
