Job Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse

Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Must-Have: Working knowledge of all GI related procedures
Description:
Unit operates with six procedural suites.
The department performs over 30 cases daily.
Shift typically starts at 6:30 AM for 7:00 AM case starts.
On-call requirements include weekday and weekend rotations.
Common cases include colonoscopy, EGD, esophageal dilation, ERCP, EUS, food bolus removal, and GI bleeding.
Charge nurse is present on each shift and takes an assignment.
Technicians or nurse aides are available in the department.
There is a six-week working schedule in place.
Requests for time off are handled by the charge nurse and should be made two weeks prior to the schedule being posted.
Weeknight and weekend call requirements are applicable.
Holiday call requirements are also in place.
Call response time is 30 minutes.
Floating requirements are not applicable.
Scrub color and dress code are royal blue or navy blue.
The department provides one week of unit-specific orientation for travelers.
Cancellation policy allows for up to four shifts to be canceled during the assignment.
The charting system utilized is EPIC.
