Job Summary:
Endoscopy Lab Specialist Madison, WI. This role involves providing care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal (GI) and pulmonary procedures, including sedation administration and pre/post-procedure care within a busy endoscopy lab setting. The position requires recent experience in recovering sedated patients from procedures such as ERCP, EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy, and Bronchoscopy, with a focus on managing sedation based on the Ramsay Sedation Scale, and performing moderate sedation procedures.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM; 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license (pending WI license acceptable); current ACLS and BLS certifications; minimum two years of acute care RN experience within the last three years in the specialty area; recent experience in recovering sedated GI and pulmonary procedures such as ERCP, EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy, and Bronchoscopy; proficiency with charting system Epic; experience with telemetry testing prior to start; must be able to perform Moderate Sedation and pre/post all levels of care including PACU/Phase I and Phase II recovery.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma centers or similar size hospitals; proficiency with community hospital settings; trauma level I or II experience considered advantageous.
