Description:
Endoscopy RN required for a variable shift role.
Candidates must have prior experience in endoscopy nursing.
The position involves four 9-hour shifts scheduled between Monday and Friday.
Start times depend on daily assignments.
Pre-op RNs work from 06:30 to 16:00 or 07:00 to 16:30.
PACU RNs work from 08:00 to 17:30 or 08:30 to 18:00.
Procedure RNs work from 07:30 to 17:00.
On average, there are 2 to 4 Procedure RNs scheduled daily, depending on case volumes.
One overnight call shift is required per week, starting at the end of the 9-hour shift until 7 AM.
If not working on a call day, call begins at 17:00.
Two weekend call shifts are required during a 6-week period, which may include Saturday or Sunday shifts.
The role involves managing pre-op, PACU, and procedural nursing duties.
The unit has a variable number of staff based on case volumes, typically ranging from 12 to 16.
Preferred skills include pediatric endoscopy experience, pulmonary endoscopy experience, and endoscopy tech experience.
Typical procedures performed include adult EGD, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP, EBUS, and bronchoscopy.
Pediatric endoscopy procedures are also performed for patients aged 1 to 18.
