Job Title: Clinical Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: GI Procedures Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: 1 year of nursing experience required License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification Must-Have: CLINICAL NURSING CARE NURSING PROCESS PATIENT EDUCATION PATIENT ASSESSMENT POINT OF CARE TESTING Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reports and is accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director. Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs for self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. With assistance, uses patient education materials relevant to the patient population. Assesses readiness to learn of the patient/family/caregivers. Assesses the developmental level of patients and factors affecting their ability to learn. Identifies expected patient outcomes. Seeks guidance as needed in revising the plan of care. Participates in discussions with members of the interdisciplinary team for evaluation of patient care. Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care. Develops goals to promote professional growth or minimize limitations with assistance. Achieves goals within the identified time frame or renegotiates with the supervisor. Is knowledgeable about activities that facilitate collaboration. Participates in the development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities. Effectively uses communication systems. Participates in promoting cost-effective care. Provides feedback to co-workers.
