Job Title: Endoscopy RN Profession: RN Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00-16:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: Advanced certifications required Must-Have: - Ability to perform advanced procedures such as ERCP and EUS - Credentials and experience of more than 1 year according to scope of practice - Competency in ERCP, EUS, robotic bronchoscopy, and EBUS Description: General information: The unit consists of 2 endoscopy suites. Patient ratios are 1:1 for circulators and up to 2 patients for PACU. In Preop, the ratio is 1:1 during questioning but may increase to 1:3 if waiting. Unit staffing includes 1 circulator and 1 tech in the room with a designated scope washer for the shift. The type of equipment includes Olympus scopes, OER elite washer, and an ION robot. Documentation systems used are Meditech Expanse and Provation. Scheduling requirements range from 6 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday based on assignment. Floating policy may require staff to float to the ASC and other surrounding facilities as needed. Certifications are required as specified by the unit. The dress code consists of hospital-issued scrubs. Unit-specific guidelines and policies are in place, including a daily huddle prior to the start of the shift. The department offers opportunities to work with new equipment and technology. Tenure and experience of staff are considerable, providing a supportive work environment. Schedule options may be available based on assignments.
