Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Colorado

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Patient ratios typically 1:3-4, with flexibility to 1:5-6 based on census. 34-bed surgical transplant progressive care unit.
Highlights:
- Specialized surgical transplant PCU supporting solid organ transplant patients (kidney, liver, pancreas)
- Advanced respiratory support experience including Vapotherm, BiPAP, and CPAP management
- Exposure to complex procedures including chest tube management, tracheostomy care, plasmapheresis support, and continuous bladder irrigation
- Collaborative team environment with charge nurse support and patient care technicians on every shift
- EMR system: Meditech
- Access to modern equipment including virtual sitter cameras, AccuVein, ultrasound-guided PIV machines, and multiple patient mobility lifts
Requirements:
- Active Colorado RN license or compact state license
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital Stepdown/PCU experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with central line care, telemetry monitoring, and blood product transfusions
- Preferred: Solid organ transplant experience, advanced respiratory support modalities, DKA/insulin drip management, and tracheostomy care
- Strong critical thinking skills with ability to identify patient decompensation and sepsis
