Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, 74-bed Emergency Department within a Level I Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Accredited Center of Excellence
Deliver nursing care across a 3-bed trauma bay and a secure behavioral health unit as needed
Float as needed to the Emergency Transitional Care Unit (ETCU), a 22-bed unit with full telemetry capability, including negative pressure rooms
Continue nursing interventions and procedures for patients transferred from the main ED to the ETCU pending disposition, consultation, or inpatient placement
Adhere to infection control protocols, including the potential care of COVID-positive patients
Complete required onboarding modules prior to start date
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with no license hits (hard stop)
Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
Level I Trauma experience required
Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC only)
Prior travel nursing experience required – first-time travelers will not be accepted
Ability to work every 3rd weekend and holidays as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with EPIC electronic health records system strongly preferred
Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and negative pressure room protocols
Experience in or willingness to cross-train to an Emergency Transitional Care Unit setting
