    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (12-Hour Nights)

    Location

    Yakima, WA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care across a high-acuity, high-volume Emergency Department serving a neonate-to-geriatric population including pediatric medical and trauma patients
    • Perform triage using ESI methodology; candidates must pass a facility Triage Test prior to triaging independently
    • Administer medications via barcode scanning, manage medication drips, and perform blood product administration
    • Assist with trauma and code cases, including setup of chest tubes, arterial lines, splinting, and BiPAP/ventilator management
    • Stabilize and prepare high-acuity patients for transfer, including neurosurgical, multi-system trauma, and high-acuity pediatric cases
    • Participate in every-other-weekend rotation with occasional back-to-back weekend scheduling
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in a large-volume, high-acuity Emergency Department
    • Active RN licensure applicable to the state of Washington
    • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC
    • Proficiency with Epic EMR
    • Demonstrated triage experience with a solid understanding of the ESI triage system
    • Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Pediatric emergency medicine experience (medical and trauma) is highly preferred
    • Experience with Point of Care (POC) laboratory testing
    • Familiarity with stroke protocols including TNK administration and cardiac/cath lab workflows
