Travel RN – Emergency Room (Mid-Shift)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Assignment | 3x12-Hour Mid-Shifts (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM) | Every other weekend and holiday required | One 8-hour on-call shift per 4-week schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Room setting within a 495-bed facility
- Accurately document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EMR (required)
- Respond to and manage a wide range of emergency presentations, applying clinical judgment and evidence-based practice
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, timely, and effective patient outcomes
- Adhere to facility dress code (navy blue scrubs) and all applicable policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN License or Compact RN License
- ACLS certification (AHA only)
- BLS certification (AHA only)
- PALS certification (AHA only)
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Room RN experience
- Proficiency with Epic EMR is required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-acuity or high-volume emergency department environment
- Candidates open to an extended assignment of 16 weeks are preferred by the unit leadership
