Travel RN – Emergency Department

Derby, KS | Freestanding Emergency Department
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Mid Shift (1:00 PM – 1:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced freestanding emergency department with an expected patient ratio of 3:1 (low acuity up to 5:1; pediatrics managed via team nursing)
- Perform IV starts and medication administration, including sedations and pediatric cases
- Scan patients and medications consistently in accordance with unit expectations
- Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, and midlevel providers within a structured pod-based staffing model
- Utilize Alaris equipment and document within the Meditech EMR system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience
- Active RN license in Kansas or compact state eligibility
- BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Prior travel nursing experience or experience in a large facility emergency department
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ENPC certification
- Experience with Meditech EMR
- Prior travel assignments or experience at facilities larger than 52 beds
