Travel RN – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced freestanding emergency department setting with an average patient ratio of 3:1 (low acuity up to 5:1; pediatric cases managed via team nursing)
- Perform IV starts and medication administration, including scanning patients and medications with every interaction per unit expectations
- Assist with sedations and pediatric patient care
- Operate Alaris infusion equipment and document accurately within the Meditech EMR system
- Function effectively within a team structure that includes charge nurses, technicians, unit clerks, physicians, and midlevel providers per pod
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, and TNCC
- Prior travel nursing experience or experience in a large facility emergency department
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ENPC certification
- Experience with Meditech EMR
- Prior travel assignments or experience at facilities larger than 52 beds
