    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

    Location

    Webster, SD | Critical Access Hospital

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Work alongside a second RN to provide care for med/surg, outpatient, and emergency department patients in a critical access hospital setting
    • Perform standard RN procedures including IV starts, Foley catheter insertion, and other clinical interventions
    • Float daily between med/surg, outpatient, and the emergency department as part of a small, collaborative nursing team
    • Operate unit equipment including EPIC, Philips central monitor/telemetry, and Lifepak 15
    • Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio that typically ranges from 1:2 to 1:3, with a maximum of 1:6 depending on census
    • Serve in a charge nurse capacity in the emergency department when qualified and as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Compact RN license or active South Dakota state RN license
    • Minimum 2 years of emergency room (ER) nursing experience
    • Minimum 2 years of med/surg nursing experience
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • PALS certification required
    • TNCC certification required
    • Must live within 80 miles of the facility to be considered for local placement
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Critical access hospital experience strongly preferred
    • Experience with EPIC electronic health records
    • Ability and willingness to serve as charge nurse in the emergency department
