Travel RN – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every Other Weekend | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 23-bed Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient ratio
- Perform standard ED procedures in a Level IV Trauma, Primary Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Accredited facility with PCI (STEMI 24/7) capability
- Document patient care and clinical information using the Meditech documentation system
- Collaborate with an all-RN nursing staff alongside lobby technicians and unit secretaries
- Float to other units as needed per facility policy
- Adhere to facility dress code, including royal blue scrubs, non-absorbent slip-resistant footwear, and grooming standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN License — temporary licenses will not be accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC
- NIHSS Certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
- Familiarity with Level IV Trauma and stroke center protocols
