    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

    Location

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour PM/Night Shifts (Rotating) | 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, Trauma Level II Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases
    • Manage a patient assignment of 3–4 patients per shift within an 18-bed unit that is stroke certified
    • Perform lab draws, administer nebulizer treatments, and utilize Pyxis medication dispensing systems
    • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic electronic health records
    • Participate in on-call rotation with a 30-minute response time requirement, including a minimum 2-hour callback commitment; on-call obligation is 12 hours per 6-week period
    • Float to additional regional emergency department locations as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications (ARC or AHA accepted)
    • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
    • Minimum of 3–6 months of prior travel nursing experience (required, no exceptions)
    • Trauma Level II experience required
    • Proficiency with Epic electronic health records (required)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in a high-acuity, multi-specialty emergency environment
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage change effectively, and complete tasks in a timely manner
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to integrate quickly into an established team
