    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

    Location

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | 36 Hours Per Week | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts (Days/PMs) | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Required | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, Trauma Level II Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population including cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases
    • Manage a patient assignment of 3–4 patients per shift within an 18-bed unit that is stroke certified
    • Perform phlebotomy, administer nebulizer treatments, and accurately document all patient care activities using Epic electronic health records
    • Utilize Pyxis medication dispensing system for safe and accurate medication administration
    • Collaborate with on-site radiology staff, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
    • Float to additional emergency department locations as needed and participate in on-call rotations on an occasional, pre-arranged basis
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications (American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted)
    • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
    • Trauma Level I or Level II experience required
    • Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
    • Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt well to change in a high-acuity environment
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
    • Experience in a stroke-certified or high-volume trauma emergency department
    • Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
