    Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

    Watertown, New York

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36-Hour Weekly Guarantee | 13-Week Assignment

    Key Responsibilities
    • Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations, applying thorough knowledge of nursing principles to deliver quality patient care
    • Assess and address patient clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual needs in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment
    • Recognize safety issues and implement appropriate measures, including safe patient handling and lift techniques
    • Function effectively under stress, applying creative problem-solving skills to complex clinical situations
    • Demonstrate strong leadership by prioritizing workload and delegating tasks appropriately; may serve in a charge nurse capacity
    • Maintain IV access, administer medications, and perform phlebotomy as required during patient care
    Required Qualifications
    • Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
    • Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
    • MEDITECH electronic health record experience required
    • Prior travel nursing experience required
    • Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam and obtain defibrillation certification within six months; IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Critical care nursing experience
    • Previous charge nurse experience in an emergency or acute care setting
