    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department serving newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations across a 64-bed unit including acute, trauma, triage, super track, CDU, and psychiatric areas
    • Manage complex patient presentations including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
    • Administer and monitor required drips and medications including pressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine), sedation agents (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
    • Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
    • Float to other units as required and demonstrate charge nurse capability when needed
    • Document all care accurately using EPIC EMR
    Required Qualifications
    • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of New York (verified via NURSYS)
    • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
    • Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric (PEDS) experience
    • Prior travel nursing experience is required
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
    • Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; candidates residing within 75 miles are also welcome to apply at a local rate
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Charge nurse experience or demonstrated charge capability in an emergency department setting
    • Experience with high-acuity drip management including vasoactive and sedation medications
    • Familiarity with specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
