Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department serving newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Manage and respond to common critical diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun as needed
- Float to other units as required to meet staffing needs
- Perform triage and deliver care across acute, super track, trauma, CDU, and psychiatric care areas within a 64-bed department
- Demonstrate charge nurse capability when called upon
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered New York State RN license (verified via NURSYS)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- NIHSS certification required
- TNCC certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge nurse experience in an emergency department setting
- Experience caring for psychiatric patients in an ED environment
- Familiarity with block scheduling environments and flexible shift assignments
