    Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room / MedSurg / Swing Bed Unit

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM–7:15 PM / 6:45 PM–7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Alternating Holiday Requirement

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care across ER, MedSurg, and Swing Bed unit settings, including initial care of trauma patients and management of acute and chronic illnesses
    • Administer and titrate IV drips including electrolytes, antihypertensives, IV antibiotics, and blood transfusions
    • Care for a predominantly geriatric population including patients with dementia, diabetes, wounds, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs
    • Read and independently interpret cardiac monitor strips
    • Participate in team nursing model with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:8, supported by CNAs on each shift
    • Float between ER and MedSurg as needed to support unit staffing
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
    • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
    • Ability to titrate drips and manage IV medication, fluid, and blood administration
    • Strong understanding of geriatric patient care including dementia, stroke, and skin care management
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a critical access or rural hospital setting
    • Familiarity with restorative and rehabilitative care in a post-acute environment
    • Experience managing patients on patient-controlled CPAP equipment
