Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (11:00–23:30)
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a large, high-volume, fast-paced urban Emergency Department
Manage and care for ventilated patients as part of routine ED responsibilities
Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 within a department seeing approximately 210 visits per day
Support Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and Medics as part of the care team
Provide every-other-weekend coverage, with 4 weekend shifts expected per contract
Adhere to all department protocols including de-escalation procedures
Required Qualifications
Valid Arizona RN license required
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and de-escalation certification (MAB, CPI, MOAB, or equivalent) required
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
Experience in a large, urban, high-volume Emergency Department required
Ventilated patient experience required
EPIC EMR proficiency required
Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred
Experience functioning as a resource or support to ancillary clinical staff
