Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (11:00–23:30) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department seeing approximately 210 visits per day
- Manage and care for ventilated patients within the ED setting
- Maintain a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio while delivering safe, quality emergency nursing care
- Support Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and Medics as part of the care team
- Provide every-other-weekend coverage, with an expected 4 weekend shifts per contract period
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for all documentation and patient management
Required Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Experience in a large, urban, high-volume Emergency Department required
- Ventilated patient experience required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and a de-escalation certification (MAB, CPI, MOAB, or equivalent) required
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR required
- Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred
- 1 supervisory reference preferred
