Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Evening Shift (3x12 Hours, 14:00–02:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• May float to Pediatrics as needed; support will be provided if floating to Peds occurs
• May be required to float to a sister facility nearby the contracted location
• Utilize Epic for electronic health record documentation and charting
• Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling, approximately 6–8 shifts per contract period
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS
• On-call is not required for this position
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted at time of candidate submission; post-submission RTO may not be considered or granted
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard rate; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a reduced rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR system
• Comfort and flexibility floating between like units, including Pediatrics
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers accepted
