Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- May float to Pediatrics as needed; support will be provided if floating to Peds occurs
- May be required to float to a sister facility nearby the contracted location
- Utilize Epic for electronic health record documentation and charting
- Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling, approximately 6–8 shifts per contract period
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses not accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS
- On-call is not required for this position
- All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted at time of candidate submission; post-submission RTO may not be considered or granted
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard rate; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Comfort and flexibility floating between like units, including Pediatrics
- Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers accepted
