Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care for assigned patients on a per-shift basis
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment and adjust care plans accordingly
- Supervise clinical staff and delegate patient care tasks appropriately
- Support nursing leadership in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care
- Contribute to competency evaluation and development of clinical staff
- Assist with appropriate resource management related to patient care at the unit level
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or compact eligibility
- Emergency Room / Emergency Department clinical experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to supervise and delegate care to clinical staff effectively
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
- Familiarity with resource management and unit-level operations
- Experience supporting nursing leadership or charge nurse responsibilities
