Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a free standing emergency department setting
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients presenting with a broad range of emergency conditions, including CVA
• Utilize electronic health record systems, including Epic, for accurate and timely documentation
• Float to alternate free standing emergency department locations as needed based on unit demands
• Participate in emergency response operations as required, including potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience (adult and pediatric)
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• NIHSS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 2 years of ED experience
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI certification
• NRP certification
• Experience in a free standing or high-volume emergency department environment
