Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a free standing emergency department setting
- Manage and assess patients presenting with a range of emergency conditions, including cerebrovascular accident (CVA)
- Float to alternate free standing emergency department locations as needed based on unit demands
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November), which may be required of all staff and contractors
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required; first-time travelers must have 2+ years of ED experience
- Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact RN License required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- ACLS certification required (AHA only)
- NIHSS certification required
- TNCC certification required
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CPI certification preferred
- NRP certification preferred
- Experience working in a free standing emergency department environment
