Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a free standing emergency department setting
- Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting with a range of emergent conditions, including CVA/stroke
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
- Float to alternate free standing emergency department locations as needed based on unit demands
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November), as required by facility policy
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact RN License
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required; first-time travelers must have 2+ years of ED experience to be eligible
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, and TNCC
- General emergency nursing experience with both adult and pediatric populations
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CPI certification
- NRP certification
- Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency department setting
