Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
- Perform prompt triage and screening of patients upon arrival to assess severity of condition and determine appropriate course of treatment
- Collaborate with physicians and mid-level providers to deliver timely and effective emergency care
- Monitor and document patient status, interventions, and responses to treatment throughout the care episode
- Support a high-volume department serving a significant number of patient visits annually
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting
- Active Vermont RN license or valid Compact RN license
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Active American Heart Association PALS certification (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Active Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (must be in hand at time of submission)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum 3 months of prior travel nursing experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Emergency Department skills checklist completed within the past year
