    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (12-Hour Nights)

    Location

    Spokane Valley, WA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7p–7a) | Every-other-weekend rotation

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 21-bed Emergency Department (plus hallway, fast track, and outpatient overflow beds) at a Level 3 Trauma Center serving a diverse patient population including geriatric, abdominal pain, chest pain, stroke, psychiatric, respiratory, and approximately 15% pediatric cases
    • Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, working within a pod-based model of 8 patients across 3 nurses
    • Perform and assist with advanced skills including TNK administration, conscious sedation, chest tube management, and central line care
    • Document and manage patient records using EPIC EMR (required); operate Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including 24/7 charge nurse coverage, ER techs, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, and HUC/receptionist support
    • Adhere to weekend rotation (every other weekend) and fulfill one holiday obligation per contract period
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
    • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
    • BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI or MOAB, and NIHSS certifications required
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
    • Must complete MHS Tele Test prior to arrival
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 5 or more years of Emergency Department experience preferred
    • Experience with ultrasound-guided IV placement
    • Familiarity with telemetry monitoring (bedside and remote)
