    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

    Location

    Seattle, WA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 12-hour shifts | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department averaging approximately 66 patients per day, with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
    • Manage and monitor common diagnoses including stroke, STEMI, sepsis, chest pain, and behavioral health presentations; facility is a STEMI-receiving center and comprehensive Stroke Center
    • Administer and monitor common drips including insulin, cardiac, sedation, and other critical drips
    • Perform lab draws; collaborate with ED techs and support staff on EKGs, phlebotomy, and patient monitoring using Philips telemetry monitors
    • Participate in triage if experience is present; care for intermixed ED holds as the primary nurse
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including ED physicians, mid-level providers, ED techs, and security staff present 24/7 in the department; charge nurse role may be available, particularly on night shifts
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license with at least one year of Emergency Room experience
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • NIHSS certification required
    • PALS certification required
    • Valid Driver's License required at time of submittal
    • Strong behavioral health experience required given heavy behavioral health patient population
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience with at least 1–2 completed assignments preferred
    • Charge nurse experience preferred
    • Experience with triage in a fast-paced ED environment
    • Comfort managing critical drips and working alongside respiratory therapy for equipment such as vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
