Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department treating approximately 66 patients per day, with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Manage common diagnoses including stroke, STEMI, sepsis, chest pain, and behavioral health presentations; rare pediatric cases are treated and transferred
Administer and monitor common drips including insulin, cardiac, sedation, and other critical drips
Perform lab draws; collaborate with ED techs for EKGs, blood glucose monitoring, and patient monitoring using Philips telemetry systems
Participate in triage if experience is present; support fast-track triage flow through the lobby
Maintain required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
Required Qualifications
Active RN license with Emergency Room experience
Minimum one year of Emergency Department experience
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
Valid Driver's License required at time of submittal
Strong behavioral health experience required
Ability to float to other facilities within the regional network if needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience with at least 1–2 completed assignments preferred
Experience with triage in a high-volume Emergency Department
Familiarity with STEMI and comprehensive stroke center protocols
Willingness to serve in a charge nurse capacity if needed
