    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Varying start times (4p, 5p, 7p) | Every other weekend required | Holidays worked into permanent staff rotation

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Room averaging approximately 150 patients per day, including adult and pediatric populations
    • Manage acute and emergent presentations across a 24+ bed unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
    • Operate within a fast-paced environment that includes a fast track area staffed by mid-level providers
    • Utilize Cerner FirstNet EMR and Phillips telemetry monitoring systems
    • Collaborate with on-site hospitalists and intensivists available 24/7, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy support
    • Complete Moderate Conscious Sedation competency testing prior to start
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license valid in the state of California
    • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
    • Moderate Conscious Sedation competency testing required prior to start date
    • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
    • Ability to work every other weekend and rotate into holiday scheduling
    • Must be prepared to work independently and adapt quickly in a high-acuity environment
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working with diverse patient populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness
    • Familiarity with Cerner FirstNet EMR
    • Experience managing psychiatric hold patients in an emergency setting
    • Charge nurse experience
