Contract | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Emergency Department patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics
- Perform triage, assessment, and initiation of treatment for patients presenting to the ED
- Deliver discharge planning and education to patients and families
- May be required to float to an additional facility location as needed
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Associate Degree in Nursing (A.S.) or equivalent — required
- Minimum one year of acute care experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor — required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor — required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor — required
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) — required within 6 months of hire or transfer
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification — required
- Recent EPIC experience — required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior Emergency Department nursing experience beyond minimum acute care requirement
