Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Emergency Department patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics
- Perform triage assessments to prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical need
- Administer treatment and interventions in accordance with emergency nursing standards and physician orders
- Coordinate and execute discharge planning and patient education for ED patients
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using the EPIC electronic health records system
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (A.S.) or equivalent required
- Minimum one year of acute care experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within 6 months of hire or transfer
- NIHSS certification required
- Recent EPIC electronic health records experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Prior experience in a high-volume or trauma-level emergency department setting
