Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected start October 2026 | 4 weekend shifts per schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to both high and low acuity emergency department patients in an 8-bed freestanding ED setting
- Manage a patient ratio of 4:1, delivering safe and effective care across varying acuity levels
- Care for critically ill patients, including those requiring emergent interventions
- Administer medications accurately and monitor patient response in accordance with ED protocols
- Collect and coordinate lab specimens and interpret results in collaboration with the care team
- Operate GE equipment and document care accurately using Meditech EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in Virginia or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC
- Demonstrated ability to care for critically ill patients
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
- Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency or freestanding ED setting
