Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department serving approximately 230 visits per day
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, accurate documentation, and ongoing monitoring across a diverse all-ages patient population
Execute general ED nursing skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, and splinting
Deliver patient and family education and apply critical thinking in fast-paced emergency care situations
Chart and document using EPIC – ASAP EMR system
Float within the department as needed, including to the pediatric pod and Acute Mental Health area
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
Current AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Proficiency in general ED nursing skills including assessment, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, and patient education
Ability to maintain a 1:4 clinician-to-patient ratio in a fast-paced environment
