    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care within a 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department serving all patient populations, including a dedicated pediatric pod and an Acute Mental Health area
    • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, accurate documentation, and ongoing monitoring including cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation
    • Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and splinting as required
    • Deliver patient and family education and apply critical thinking skills in a high-volume environment averaging approximately 230 visits per day
    • Chart accurately using EPIC – ASAP electronic medical records system
    • Float to other areas within the department as needed and rotate shifts when requested
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact eligibility
    • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
    • AHA-certified Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • AHA-certified Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • AHA-certified Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
    • Proficiency in general ED nursing skills including assessment, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, and patient education
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
    • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
    • Experience with EPIC – ASAP electronic medical records system
