    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Adult)

    Location

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 15 Weeks | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Every Other Holiday Required | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide emergency nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across all emergency-type diagnoses at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
    • Perform IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs; administer IV vasopressors
    • Manage and monitor patients requiring CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator support
    • Care for patients presenting with CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
    • Conduct cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; perform triage and maintain isolation precautions
    • Utilize special equipment including Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment; float within skillset as required
    Required Qualifications
    • Active New York Single State RN license required — pending licenses are not accepted (NY is not a Compact state)
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • NIHSS certification required — must be included at time of submittal
    • Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience required
    • EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
    • Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with adult and pediatric emergency care including gunshot wounds and orthopedic trauma
    • Experience with pediatric spinal cord injury cases
    • Familiarity with advanced stroke care protocols in a certified stroke center environment
    • Prior travel nursing experience welcomed — first-time travelers are accepted
