Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend expected for travelers
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 25-bed Emergency Department setting with a standard ratio of 4:1, which may increase to 5:1 during surge periods
- Perform and maintain ED competencies including all unit-required procedures
- Utilize GE monitors, Baxter pumps, and Zoll travel monitors in the delivery of patient care
- Document patient care accurately using MediTech (transitioning to Expanse)
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and make meaningful personal connections with patients to support a positive patient experience
- Adhere to facility dress code: Navy Blue Scrubs required
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Virginia or through compact licensure
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- TNCC certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ENPC and/or CPI certification
- Experience with MediTech documentation system
- Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting
