Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting operating 24/7
Assess and triage patients presenting with a wide range of emergent conditions including stroke symptoms, cardiac events, seizures, severe injuries, burns, and acute abdominal pain
Deliver timely interventions for serious injuries such as fractures, head trauma, deep lacerations, and uncontrolled bleeding
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to stabilize and manage critically ill or injured patients
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the EMR system (Cerner)
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of RN Emergency Department experience (required)
Active Michigan RN license (required)
TNCC certification – ENPC is not accepted (required)
ACLS certification (required)
BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
PALS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in a Level II trauma center environment
Familiarity with Cerner EMR
Experience in a high-volume, comprehensive emergency and trauma care setting
