Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting across multiple satellite locations in the greater Phoenix area (Goodyear, Camelback, Mesa, Glendale, Surprise, and Laveen); schedules are provided in advance so staff are aware of their assigned location
- Function as one of only two RNs on staff at satellite ER locations, managing a patient ratio of 4:1
- Perform lab draws and IV insertions as part of ER staff responsibilities (no dedicated IV team on site)
- Operate ventilators; vent-capable experience is expected in this role
- Document and manage patient care using Cerner EMR
- Complete required Day 1 orientation activities including a pass/fail SIMs Lab assessment covering Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion, as well as educational modules on lifts, restraints, and wound care
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- TNCC certification required
- Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (maximum of 2 attempts allowed)
- Must demonstrate competency in sterile field technique; SIMs Lab is pass/fail on Day 1 of orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CPI certification (preferred but not required)
- Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
- Experience working in low-staffing or satellite/community ER environments
